Town Hall and Horticultural Hall
Laings Road, Lower Hutt
These are the two largest venues in Hutt City. They can be combined for large events, such as a ball or exhibition.
Notes:
- The Town Hall is acoustically better than the Horticultural Hall
- The upstairs area of the Town hall is not available for social functions or weddings
- Portable seating is available in both halls. There is a $45 charge to set-up and dismantle the seating.

Facilities
- Both halls have wheelchair access
- 3-phase power outlets are available in both halls. There may be additional electricity charges for large events
- Eftpos connection is available in Horticultural Hall. Please call Telecom directly on 123 to arrange connection. The phone line number for the Horticultral Hall is 04 569 3387.
- The painos in both halls are tuned every six months. A grand paino is available from the Little Theatre, but it must be removed professionally and tuned at the hirer's expense
- The Horticultural Hall has five single badminton courts
- Both halls have kitchen facilities including a large water-heating zip, a large commerical oven, a refrigerator, a pie warmer and a dishwasher.
Alcohol
- Alcohol may be served in both halls. If alcohol is being served, the hirer must obtain a liquor licence from the Council. Phone 04 570 6666.
