Dowse to Petone
The Dowse to Petone Upgrade Project is the biggest construction job in the Hutt Valley for many years. Work is scheduled to be completed in early 2010 and will provide a 'lights-free' trip along State Highway 2 as far north as the Melling turnoff. Overbridges at Korokoro and the bottom of Dowse Drive will give a much better link between both sides of SH2.
