22 April 08 Advert in Hutt News seeks comments which can be used to prepare a draft plan. Information distributed to known interested individuals and groups.
22 April to 20 May collect comments
21 May to 2 June prepare Draft Reserve Management Plan, incorporating comments collected prior, plus officer and consultant’s comments.
3 June
- Advert in Hutt News inviting objections and suggestions on the Draft Plan
- Draft Plan is distributed to known interested individuals and groups for their objections and suggestions
- Draft Plan is provided to DoC’s Commissioner for the Wellington Conservancy for his comment
3 June to 4 August objections and submissions are collected and workshops are offered
5 August
- Draft Reserve Management Plan is modified
- Officers’ report is written
- Deadline for officers’ report
- Draft Committee Agenda meeting
11 September Strategy and Policy Committee meeting considers Plan and officers’ report and makes resolution
12 September Final version of plan is edited based on anything required as a result of S and P meeting
Mid September 08 Final version of the plan is submitted to the Minister of Conservation for their approval
Once Minister’s approval has been gained
- Reserve Management Plan becomes operative
- Document is designed and laid out attractively
- Jubilee Park and Percy Scenic Reserve Management Plan is printed and made available on the HCC website
- Funding requirements created as a result of the Plan are raised in the LTCCP process
- District Plan provision may need to be reviewed
