Emergency Status Definitions

Status Type	Description
No Emergency	There are currently no threats - situation normal
Test of Emergency Systems	The systems are currently being tested or exercised - situation normal
Severe Weather Warning	There are weather warnings in place - situation being monitored
Moderate Emergency	There is currently a small event that is affecting some services or roads in the community - partial activation of the Emergency Operations Centre
Major Emergency	Severe event that has is affecting a small part of the community - Activation of the Emergency Operations Centre
Civil Defence Declaration	A major event that is affecting a large part of the community - Activation of the Emergency Operations Centre
Regional Civil Defence Declaration	A major disaster that is affecting the Wellington Region
Recovery and Welfare Phase	Assisting the community and support systems to return to normal or improved levels
