Bread bags, shopping bags, shampoo bottles and detergent bottles are melted down and remade into products like flower pots, telephone cords and black plastic rubbish bags.
Soft-drink and milk bottles are chipped, washed, melted and made into new products like car bumpers and polar fleece.
Look to buy recycled products where possible as this supports the collection of reyclables. Manufacturing products from recycled materials saves our natural resources, creates less pollution and saves energy.
