Currently Telecom and Vodaphone will accept your redundant cellphones. Old paint is being accepted at Placemakers and Resene shops. Special conditions to use these services may apply.

The collection is free and is for any waste that is toxic, corrosive, or considered hazardous and can't be put out for kerbside collection or taken to the landfill.

The collection does not accept asbestos, medical waste, ammunition, explosives or electronic waste.
Maximum acceptable quantities are 20kg or 20 litres per person. No commercial waste.
E-Waste is any form of electronic waste that requires disposal. E-waste tends to be a major source of toxins in landfills.
Some companies who wish to be environmentally responsible are accepting redundant equipment if you purchase new equipment from them.
You can take your spent compact fluorescent bulbs and tubes to the shops listed (fluorescent tubes) for safe recycling and disposal when you purchase new bulbs and tubes from them.
