Pools News

Swim memberships:

New swim memberships at all Hutt City Council pools will make it easy to keep fit and cool this summer.

From 1 November, sign up for a swim membership at any of Hutt City’s six swimming pools and swim all you want for only $9 a week.

If you’re swimming more than twice a week a swim membership is a cost effective option with regular pool admission costing $4.50 for an adult ($3 for a child).

As a special offer, there’s also no joining fee until 2010 (normally $30). The minimum membership period is three months.

Halloween party to celebrate pool opening

Come celebrate the opening of the Wainuiomata Summer Pool on Saturday 31 October with a Halloween party.

The party runs from 6 to 8pm and is a fun way for children to enjoy Halloween.

An aquarun will be set up with kayaks available and it wouldn’t be Halloween without plenty of lollies on-hand. Entry to the party is $5 per person.

Wainuiomata pool, which boasts five heated outdoor pools, an 80 metre waterslide and a large picnic and bbq area, is the first of Hutt City Council’s summer pools to open.

The pool is open from 31 October to Sunday 28 March next year.

Eastbourne Summer Pool will open on Saturday 14 November and McKenzie Summer Pool opens the following weekend on Saturday 21 November
