If you are facing financial hardship, Council can consider postponing payment of some or all of your rates. If you would like us to consider this option in your case, please contact the Council's Rates Section.

Rate Rebates
Ratepayers on low incomes may be eligible for a Government rebate on their rates. The income levels for this rebate scheme have recently been revised.
You may be eligible for a rates rebate if:
- You are the ratepayer for the property where you reside
- You have lived there since at least 1 July 2007
- Your total household income (before tax) is low
