Dog Registration Fees
2008-2009 Registration Period
Pursuant to Sec 37(6) of the Dog Control Act 1996, Hutt City Council has set the following fees for dog registration in the 2008-2009 year
Dog
- Entire $92.00
- Neutered or spayed (document to have been sighted) $82.00
- Responsible Dog Owner Status $55.00
- All dogs not registered by 4 August 2008 $125.00
- Classified “Dangerous” $123.00
- Classified “Dangerous” and not registered by 4 August 2008 $184.50
- Special Category (seeing eye, hearing dogs) $1.50
- Replacement Tags $5.00
- Euthanasia at owner’s request $30.00
- Licence for keeping more than two dogs $30.00
- Micro-chipping fee $30.00
Impounding and Sustenance Fees
- First impounding during year of registration $75.00
- Second impounding during year of registration $150.00
- Sustenance fee per dog per day $14.00
- Boarding fees per day $14.00
- Seizure fee $75.00
Infringement fees are as set by Dog Control Act 1996.
Remember that all dogs attaining the age of three months must be registered. They must also be micro-chipped within two months of registration.
If you no longer own a dog, your dog has died or you have moved address within the past 12 months, please notify Council immediately.
