Eleven enter sustainability challenge
ELEVEN Hutt City companies have entered this year’s Get Sustainable Challenge, with the opportunity to win regional and national awards.
The challenge encourages and enables organisations to operate in a sustainable manner. It begins with an initial sustainability assessment of the business, and provides face-to-face support from a Sustainable Business Network representative.
The assessment looks at “triple bottom line reporting”, which means the whole business’s social, environmental and economic areas of performance, from strategy and policy to operations and monitoring. The results of the assessment are entered into the annual awards process, but also help businesses to identify opportunities to improve sustainability performance.
The Hutt City businesses that have entered the Get Sustainable Challenge this year are:
- Baseline (Lower Hutt),
- Celcius Coffee (Lower Hutt),
- Copy Express (Petone),
- Formway Furniture (Lower Hutt),
- Opus Central Laboratories (Lower Hutt),
- Resene Paints (Lower Hutt),
- Scintilla Original Clothing (Petone),
- Take Care Health Shop and Centre (Petone),
- Te Puni Mail Centre (Petone),
