Hutt City takes the Supreme Award Again!

Monday, November 24, 2008

Hutt City Council in partnership with the Community Trust of Wellington and Wellington Airport, is proud to announce that another Hutt City community group has taken the Supreme Award at the 2008 Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards. Kotuku Music Academy Support Trust was chosen for its work in providing a safe community for young people through music to overcome abuse, violence, and social barriers to achieve what is beyond expectation.

The awards are a journey that begins at the municipal level with Wellington’s five councils holding their own award ceremony to celebrate the work of volunteer organisations in their local community. The Supreme Winner, Kotuku Music Academy Support Trust, will represent Hutt City & Wellington at the National TrustPower Community Awards in March next year.

In addition, five other community service awards across various sectors of the Wellington region were presented at a celebration dinner held at Wellington Airport.
