Hutt City is well served by a comprehensive road network. Hutt City itself is on State Highway 2, leading to the Wairarapa. State Highway 1 is five minutes by road, giving access to both the northern and southern populations.
The Hutt Corridor Plan considers the transport needs for the Hutt Valley over the next five years and beyond.
The seaport, Centreport, is 10 minutes by road, and Wellington International Airport is approximately 25 minutes by road.
