Keep Lower Hutt Beautiful
Keep Lower Hutt Beautiful volunteers keep our city beautiful by targeting areas like graffiti and littering.
They coordinate volunteers for Clean-up Week (held in September each year) which is supported by Council.
For more information or if you'd like to take part in Clean-up Week please email Alan Pope at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 04 570 6666.
There are lots of volunteer groups in Lower Hutt working to help beautify our region. Find out more about volunteering in our parks, gardens, and reserves.
Community gardens and fruit trees
Community gardens and fruit trees are a great way to learn about growing food in a community setting, exchanging seeds and seedlings, and meeting other passionate gardeners.
If you'd like to get involved in a local garden, get in touch with your local community garden facilitator. You can usually find their contact details at the garden, or search online.
If you'd like to start a community garden please check with us before you start by emailing email@example.com.
Please note: We're unable to provide financial support for running or establishing a community garden or fruit trees.
