If you are applying for a building consent that includes a National Multiple-Use Approval (MultiProof) certificate then the statutory time frame is 10 working days. A National Multiple Use certificate is issued by MBIE and any application needs to be completely within the conditions and options documented in the certificate. If this is not the case then we will come back to you and the application is likely to be processed as a standard building consent with a 20 working day time frame.
If we don’t have that information, we’ll write to you or your agent asking for it, and put your application on hold until it arrives.
Unfortunately that may mean the application process is delayed – so it pays to provide us with all the detail we need right from the start.
