Funding community visits
Sometimes it’s easiest to get your funding sorted if you can talk to someone. Our Community Funding Advisor is available to meet people in their communities and talk about:
- the type of funding Council has available
- the elegibility criteria around funding through Council
- registration process and how to use our online application system
- helpful tips around funding.
If you'd like to book a visit with our Community Funding Advisor, you can now book online. Meetings will take place at your nearest Community Hub/Library.
Make use of the community resource kit
The Community Resource Kit is a practical, hands-on resource to help you get started and to develop good practice in the voluntary sector environment.
The kit was developed by Family and Community Services (Ministry of Social Development) and the Local Government and Community branch of the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).
The givME online system offers access to more than 4000 scholarships, awards, and grants for individuals. You'll need a Hutt City Library Card number to access this resource.
The givUS online system offers online access to more than 1200 resource opportunities for community, voluntary organisations and clubs.
Access givME and givUS from your home using your Hutt City Library Card.
Alternatively you may access either of these sites by visiting a Hutt City Library.
