How do I use the recycling station?
Recycling stations are for the same materials collected at the kerbside:
- Glass bottles
- Tin cans
- Plastic bottles and containers.
When you drop off your recycling:
- Make sure containers are empty and rinsed out
- If there are coloured glass bins, sort glass into the correct colours. Light blue glass goes with white and dark blue glass goes with brown.
- Flatten cardboard to save space or use it to hold loose paper.
Anything that can't be recycled in your kerbside recycling also can't go into the recycling station. If these items end up in a recycling bin, the whole lot will get contaminated, and will be taken to the landfill.
