Events Funding & Support

The Council supports and promotes events of all sizes in Hutt City - from major corporate-sponsored events to smaller community events and programmes.

The Council's Leisure Active Business Unit team promotes, funds and supports events in the city and produces and delivers major Council events .

Support includes:

funding support for events from the Community Events Fund and the Major Events Fund
marketing and promotion
logistical and venue support
assistance with feasibility studies and event bids
advice on event planning, management and risk management
assistance consents, permits and traffic management plans
co-ordination and facilitation
