Heritage Policy Review
The initial stage of our Heritage Policy Review included a survey from 9-26 November 2018 to understand people’s knowledge, appreciation and aspirations for our cultural and heritage resources.

New rubbish and recycling system
More than 4,600 people completed our Korero Mai | Talk with us survey between 18 December 2019 and Wednesday 22 January 2020. Thanks for helping us build a better picture of what might work for you on your street.
Formal consultation on the kerbside collection changes will start in early April 2020.
Be the voice of the Naenae community
On Monday 26 August - Friday 25 October, we ran our Voice of the Community engagement project to ensure the voice of the community is heard in decisions about the future of Naenae Pool and the wider town centre. The Voice of the Community Project will inform decisions on the future of Naenae Pool and town centre.
Voice of the Community Report
On 12 November we released the Voice of the Community Report on Naenae Pool and town centre:
- Voice of the Community Report (PDF 2.8 MB) summary report that includes the views of the Naenae community, residents of wider Lower Hutt and pool users from around the region.
- Naenae community voice and vision (PDF 5.8 MB) for the pool and town centre. Joint project between Empathy and Hutt City Council Council to capture of the voice of the Naenae community.
