Development and business partnerships

Our City Development team can help you explore options for building, development and business ventures in Lower Hutt.

Our Sustainability Team is keen to hear from local businesses who are seeking to make themselves more sustainable or eco-friendly.

If you'd like help building a business case or investigating the financial viability of a new business, you can take the Success Test or sign up for a Business Bootcamp through the City Development team.

Financial modelling/reports

If you need advice about economic forecasting or developing a feasibility study for a commercial project, we can guide you through our own research processes and help you put a strong case to Council for support.

How you can find out more

When you're first developing your idea, it's best to contact us through our customer service centre. Give them a general feel for what your project's about; they will probably refer you through to several of our teams, depending on the complexity of your ideas. We can also refer people on to affiliated groups like our CCOs, Walter Nash Centre or networking associations like the local Chamber of Commerce.

Every project is different, so we'll use an approach that suits your needs and plans.
