Our City

Globally connected and locally sourced

It’s easy to move goods and people in and out of Hutt City. It’s a quick trip to work for your staff locally or from around the region. Full bus and rail services offer easy commuting from other cities in the region, and there is ample car parking.

You can tap in to railway links heading north and south. Road transport has the option of heading straight up State Highway 2 or connecting with State Highway 1. You’re only 15 minutes from the regional port which offers domestic and international sea freighting services, and 30 minutes from Wellington International Airport.

We’ve got quality broadband and wireless services to connect to the world.

Pertronic Industries moves its products around New Zealand and exports to Australia and China. They find their Hutt location ideal. “There’s very little congestion here,” says Pertronic Managing Director David Percy. “Couriers and trucks can get in and out of Wingate without any problem, whether they are heading for the airport in Wellington or taking freight north to Auckland.”

Quotable Value's international head office based in Petone considers their location ideal.  “There are so many things we take for granted because we have the ability to just go down the road and get it direct. Our printers are just over the road, cafes are a walk away and Wellington's just 10 minutes drive if we need to meet customers in town.”
