Capacity is jointly owned by Hutt City Council and Wellington City Council. Capacity provides water, wastewater and stormwater management services.

Community Facilities Trust
The Community Facilities Trust (CFT) is wholly owned by Hutt City Council.
The objective for the Trust is to enhance the health and wellbeing of the city’s communities through the effective and efficient provision, development and operation of leisure and community facilities through Hutt City.
Seaview Marina Ltd
Seaview Marina Ltd is wholly owned by Hutt City Council. Seaview Marina Ltd is responsible for operating and developing the marina's facilities and services.

Smartlinx3
Hutt City Council also owns shares in Smartlinx3, along with Porirua City Council, Upper Hutt City Council and several private shareholders. Smartlinx 3 was established to deploy fast, open-access broadband.
Urbanplus
Urbanplus is wholly owned by Hutt City Council. Urban Plus manages rental housing, contracts and facilities management, and develops land.
