Your Council

Arts

We support youth arts by recognising the unique and vibrant youth talents in our city and promoting them in the community.

What do we do?

We’re dedicated to providing a safe environment for young people to express themselves creatively – through activities like music, art, dance and fashion – and encouraging the community to support young talent.

We’re here to help promote fresh, creative and – most importantly – youthful ideas.

We do this by:

  • Providing a youth perspective on art issues
  • Acting as the first point of contact for organisations or council staff wanting to talk with youth about the arts
  • Maintaining relationships with art and design institutions
  • Planning and running events, projects and programmes that promote youth art
