Ayak Atem,14, Krishna Ogwaro,13, and Clench Enoka, 13, flew to the United States to attend the five-day International Computer Clubhouse Teen Summit.
The trio joined a series of workshops with teenagers from around the world as well as learned digital and creative skills from international industry tutors. They also found time to visit MIT, the Museum of Science and go on a boat cruise.
Ayak and Krishna took part in a group that examined how to take a brand from concept to reality, including mastering the Adobe Illustrator programme, while Clench learnt about making it in the music industry, in particular branding, making videos and making music. Krishna’s best experience was seeing how different New Zealand is to America –especially the huge food sizes and meeting new people. Ayak’s highlight was going on a plane for the first time. Clench’s highlight was the workshop she attended and the boat party.
