Schools plant trees

Teacher Kay Berry of Randwick School in Moera gets to work with a shovel as she and two helpers plant the first of four pear, plum and apple trees in the school's grounds.

Earlier in the month, the school planted eight feijoas as part of the same Hutt Valley Trees in Schools project, which is a joint initiative by Hutt City, Upper Hutt and McDonald's.
