Young fans enjoy Hutt Rec game

Students from Taita Central and Pomare Central shout their approval at the pre-season clash between the Wellington Lions and Manawatu Turbos at the Hutt Recreation Ground on August 8.

More than 100 came by bus to the game, which attracted a crowd of nearly 1,000. The council and Wellington Rugby Football Union organised the event, the first in a series of rugby matches planned at the grounds.
