This Notice of Requirement is to alter the designation EDUC 14 at Hutt Valley High School, Woburn Road, Lower Hutt. The Ministry of Education wish to alter the existing designation by including 12 St Albans Grove into the designation. The proposal is to construct a hard court area (specifically netball and tennis courts) on the land at 12 St Albans Grove. The hard court area is to be used by the school as part of the physical education curriculum.

This Notice of Requirement is to alter the designation TNZ 2 (SH2 Dowse to Petone Upgrade).  TNZ 2 provided for a 1.5m pedestrian refuge within the central median barrier on SH2 to the north of Cornish Street and opposite The Esplanade to SH2 pedestrian /cycle Rail Overbridge.  It is proposed to remove this refuge and place a solid median barrier all along this section of the highway.

The purpose of Proposed Plan Change 10 is to address key implementation issues arising from current subdivision provisions in the District Plan. 

The scope of this plan change is confined to address current implementation issues with the existing subdivision provisions.  It does not seek to change any objectives, policies or any associated text.

9 Update of Heritage Appendix 1 and 2 Chapter 14F - Heritage Buildings and Structures Operative from Tuesday 28 August 2007. The plan change makes amendments to Appendix Heritage 1 and 2 in Chapter 14F.  It introduces two new additions to Appendix Heritage 1, being the Eastbourne Borough Council Omnibus Service Garage (bus barns) and the Lower Hutt Civic Centre.  The propsed plan change also transfers Rona Bay Wharf and Collett House from Appendix Heritage 2 to Appendix Heritage 1.  Some technical amendments of legal descriptions, addresses and the like are also incorporated where there is a need for these to be updated or corrected.

8 Sites in the Central Commercial Activity Area adjacent to Residential Areas Operative from Tuesday 17 June 2008. The plan change introduces new permitted activity conditions for buildings and structures on sites within the Central Commerial Activity Area that do not abut a residential area. These are a 12m height limit for all buildings within 30m of a residential area and a requirement for buildings over 30m away from a residential area to comply with the General Residential recession plane requirements measured from the boundary of the residential area.

7 Subdivision Allotment Design Standard Exceptions Operative from Tuesday 14 March 2006. The plan change is to clarify that when subdividing within the residential and rural activity area the exception to the subdividision allotment design standards and terms only apply where there are existing dwellings.
