Due to severe weather there are roads around Lower Hutt that are closed

ROAD CLOSURES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our staff and contractors have been working continuously on the high number of slip and flood related callouts that we've received. This work will continue for some time as we prioritise significant arterial roads, the safety of people, and ensuring that streets and communities are not isolated. Please drive to the conditions as some slips may not be cleared and potholes not filled today.

STOKES VALLEY TRAFFIC UPDATE
Eastern Hutt Road between Stokes Valley roundabout and Reynolds Bach Drive.
Both lanes have been re-opened with a reduced temporary speed limit of 30 KMH. Please stick to the speed limit to ensure that all road users, including our crews, are safe.
Blocks, barriers and temporary catch fences were installed at the foot of the slip.
We are waiting for further engineering advice on a more permanent fix.
PLEASE USE SH2 WHERE POSSIBLE
