Matariki changes to services

Friday 14 July is Matariki, and since this is a public holiday, there will be a few changes to some of our services.

  • All libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs will be closed. You can still visit the Hutt City Council library services online and via our app.
  • Rubbish and recycling collections will remain unaffected - if Friday 14 July is a collection date for your home, please have your bins out by 6am. You can check your collection days at www.toogoodtowaste.nz. Silverstream landfill will be open with their holiday hours of 9am-5pm.
  • Public parking will be free due to it being a public holiday.
  • Pools will be open with their holiday hours of 9am-6pm.
  • Our front desk on Laings Road will be closed.
