About this plan change
District Plan Change 36 reviewed the Notable Trees chapter of the District Plan (Chapter 14G), and included a complete review of the list of Notable Trees that are protected by the plan.
The plan change also addressed legislative changes relating to blanket protection of trees by partly removing and partly amending the current provisions for vegetation removal in residential areas to bring them in line with the requirements of the Resource Management Act 1991 (“RMA”).
