The heavy rain has caused surface flooding across the city

Port Road is now open

UPDATE: 8:31 am
- Flooding at the roundabout at the end of the Esplanade, just before the motorway
- Surface flooding on Hutt Road near the Z service station
- Barnes Rd at and Port Road intersection closed
- The Naenae subway station has experienced flooding - Greater Wellington Regional Council and Metlink have been notified
High tide is expected at 11.30 am so there may be more flooding.
Our crews are out monitoring across the city and ready to respond as needed.
