About the Major Events Support Fund

The major events support fund is designed to support collaborative relationships with event promoters and communities that encourage long-term commitment and partnerships to secure annual or regular events. As part of our major events fund, we will work effectively with partners to find ways to build sustainable relationships.

This fund will support events that:

  • Align with Council objectives
  • Have positive community impact delivering social, cultural and/or economic benefits
  • Have potential for building and maintaining sustainable partnerships
  • Bring innovative and unique opportunities to the community
  • Meet risk management requirements
  • Employ environmentally sustainable practices

Submissions should include information relating to the organisational capacity including experience and resources of managing similar events, and organisers must agree to provide feedback and evaluation of the event.

We will prioritise events that deliver strongly against our strategy outcomes.
