Transportation
Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility is a Metlink service which subsidises the cost of door-to-door travel for people who have a permanent disability and are unable to access Metlink public transport services. This service supports disabled people to remain independent and dignified while using transport services.
In the Greater Wellington region, the subsidy is 75% of the total fare or a maximum of $60 per trip.
Driving Miss Daisy is one of the local transportation providers who accept the Total Mobility Scheme. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available.

Recreate NZ is committed to enhancing the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development, and the independence of young people with intellectual disabilities.
Our main kaupapa is to serve our amazing community of young people with disabilities, and to act as a valuable support network to their whānau. We currently deliver over 5,500 opportunities across a range of 600 adventure, recreation, social, education and work-skills programmes in the Auckland, Waikato, Wellington, Bay of Plenty and Christchurch regions each year.

CCS Disability Action is the largest pan-disability support and advocacy organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand.

At Arts Access Aotearoa Putanga Toi ki Aotearoa, our purpose is to increase access to the arts for everyone in Aotearoa, particularly people who face access barriers. We work with the Deaf and disabled communities, support a national network of creative spaces, and encourage accessibility in the arts and cultural sectors. We also partner with Ara Poutama Aotearoa Department of Corrections, advocating for the arts as a tool for rehabilitation and reintegration.
Through advocacy and community partnerships, we champion the arts as a basic human right.
