The BBQ runs until approximately 1pm, or until the food runs out.
More than just picking up litter
Clean Up the Hutt is also about understanding the waste we produce and how we can reduce it.
Throughout the weekend, there’ll be opportunities to learn more about waste minimisation and the small changes we can make to prevent litter in our environment.
At the volunteer celebrations, Nonstop Solutions will sort and weigh the litter collected from all three sites. There’ll also be interactive activities to help people learn more about waste, recycling and reducing what we throw away.
It’s a chance to see what we’re finding in our environment and think about how we can stop it getting there in the first place.
