Save money when you drop off recycling at Silverstream Landfill's Zero Waste Hub!

When you bring both general waste and recyclable or reusable items to Silverstream Landfill Transfer Station between 10am – 3pm, seven days a week, you can receive a discount on your visit through the Zero Waste Hub.

The more we can recover from your load, the less you pay.

How to qualify for a voucher

Before you arrive

To help us recover as much as possible from your load:

  • Check your load for recyclable or reusable items
  • Separate them from general waste
  • Keep them easy to access (on top or at the back of your load)

How it works

  1. Sort your load before you arrive
Separate recyclable and reusable items so they’re easy to access.
  2. Head to the Zero Waste Hub first
When you arrive at Silverstream landfill transfer station, visit the Zero Waste Hub before unloading.
  3. We identify recoverable items
Our Zero Waste team will check your load and let you know which items can be diverted from landfill.
  4. Unload items into the correct bays
You’ll be directed to drop off accepted items into the relevant bays.
  5. Receive your discount voucher
Your discount is based on how much of your load can be recovered (up to 50%).
  6. Dispose of remaining waste
Take the rest of your load to the rubbish pit.
  7. Claim your discount
Present your voucher to our staff at the kiosk on your way out.

Important information

  • Vouchers are available 7 days a week, 10am–3pm
  • Vouchers are valid for 30 minutes during your visit only
  • One voucher can be issued per visit
  • If no staff are available (e.g. due to sickness), please return another day
